 POET LAUREATE OF THECOLUMNISTS.COM

EDITOR'S NOTE: This is the very best Valentine's Day poem we received. It is also the ONLY Valentine's Day poem we received. That's why we think it's so worth printing now, even though Valentine's Day is still 51 weeks away.

A COOL VALENTINE

Your charm exudes ethereal felicity
For me, your valentine in anonymity.
Though persevering to the best ability,
Alas, I’ve lost all objectivity
In my arcane proclivity
Of tumbling into that delightful singularity---
Your planetary gravity.
Our meeting proved sheer serendipity
As I, most starry-eyed, revealed my borderline insanity
Enough to jeopardize my dream of amity,
Extending grandly from this time to temporal infinity,
Which God might grant me---
wouldn’t he?
