VANISHING ACT TO EMULATE
Cave Creek in the Pecos Wilderness of New MexicoAugusts roaring brook is here
And not down there,
Abruptly vanished,
Swallowed up by maw of limestones huge black hole,
And left without a babble, gurgle, even bubble.Just as unexpectedly,
It pours forth far downstream
Refreshed, invigorated, robust in its energy.
Why cant humans stressed by urban pressures---
You, or I, or all the colleagues---
Likewise disappear, emerging minutes later
Fresh as springtime,
Rid of all the lingering anxieties?
