 SOME SPECIAL NOTES
ABOUT THE FALL TV SEASON

 MOVING DAY
Along with some shows moving timeslots, The WB and UPN networks are no
more but some of your favorite shows from those networks are now on the
new network called The CW. Check local CW listings for times.
Some shows and their new days and times are:
“The Amazing Race,” 8 p.m. Sundays on CBS.
“”Without a Trace,” 10 p.m. Sundays on CBS
“Everybody Hates Chris,” 8 p.m. Sundays on The CW.
“Veronica Mars,” 9 p.m. Tuesdays on The CW.
“Grey’s Anatomy,” 9 p.m. Thursdays on ABC
“My Name is Earl,” 8 p.m. Thursdays on NBC
“The Office,” 8:30 p.m. Thursdays on NBC.
“Crossing Jordan,” 8 p.m . Fridays on NBC

 ABOUT SATURDAY NIGHTS
Once the prime night for TV viewing in America, Saturday night has
become the graveyard for many scripted shows in recent years.
So...these days the networks (other than Fox) have a new strategy. CBS
will run repeats of some of the previious week’s shows under the
“Crimetime Saturday” banner in the 8-10 p.m. timeslot, and “48 Hours
Mystery”) at 10 p.m.
Menawhile, NBC will air a “Dateline NBC” at 8 p.m. and reruns of some
of its previous week’s shows under the “Drama Encore” banner in the
8-10 p.m. slot. Fox continues with it’s long-running “Cops” and
“America’s Most Wanted” in the 8-10 p.m. slot.
However, ABC is going a different route--offering “ABC’s Saturday
Night College Football” in the 8-11 p.m. (Eastern) slot. That’s right
two college football teams will duke it out, live, on Saturday nights!
Up first on Sept. 2 is Notre Dame at Georgia Tech; and on Sept. 9, Ohio
State plays at Texas.

 ABOUT SUNDAY NIGHTS
Not to be outdone in the football wars, NBC is no longer programming
prime time (8-11 p.m.) with scripted programming. Instead, it, too, is
going the football route with “Football Night in America” and “Sunday
Night Football” ) in the 8-11 p.m. (Eastern) slot.

ABOUT MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL...

After decades of Monday Night Football on ABC, the games are now being
telecast on ESPN. The regular season will kick off Sept 11 with a
doubleheader: in game one, the Minnesota Vikings take on the Washington
Redskins at 7 p.m. (Eastern), following at 10:15 p.m. (Eastern) by the San Diego Chargers at Oakland Raiders.
