In the wrong hands, it can be the undoing of us all

Having broken up with his latest paramour, Darman had a sudden urge to call his old girlfriend. He hadn’t talked to her in months. Maybe he could get something going again.

“Hello.”

Her husband’s garage door voice gave him the shivers. Darman soundlessly hung up the phone.

Three hours later his chimes sounded. Darman answered the door. A tall man in a dark suit with a face that looked like reheated prunes confronted him.

“George Darman?”

“That’s right. What can I do for you?”

Pruneface shot him twice in the head.

“Shit,” Darman thought on his way to oblivion. The possibility the old girlfriend might have Caller I.D. had never occurred to him.
